Raise a glass at a price of sustainability
Turin, October 11, 2021 – FPT Industrial confirmed and extended its partnership with Slow Food by participating in the presentation of the 2022 edition of the Slow Wine Guide to the best Italian vineyards, which took place on October 8 at Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan, during Wine Week from the city.
The twelfth edition, which includes reviews from 1,958 wineries, sees the return of two of the guide’s most important features, suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.
First of all, the team’s visits to the cellars, a peculiarity among wine guides, and secondly the return of the guide’s distinctive rating system, his Snails, the symbol awarded to cellars who interpret the values of sensory, territorial and environmental excellence listening with the Slow Food philosophy. This year, 218 wineries received the coveted snails, including 23 new entries. The region with the most snails is Piedmont, followed by Tuscany and Veneto.
When the guide was handed over, the award ceremony for the three Slow Wine Awards (for life, young winegrower and sustainable viticulture) was also presented. The Sustainable Viticulture Award, promoted and sponsored by FPT Industrial, was
presented to the Ceretto d’Alba family, represented in Milan by cousins ââAlessandro and Roberta, by Daniela Ropolo, responsible for sustainable initiatives for CNH Industrial, who commented: âSince 2010, the Ceretto family, reinvigorated by a generational transmission exemplary, has put in place a commitment to radically change its cultivation techniques, with the conversion of its more than 100 hectares of vines to certified organic methods, and since 2018 to biodynamic management. The innovation and sustainability of the cellar combine to produce quality: these are values ââthat CNH Industrial shares and promotes with conviction, also and above all in its industrial operations, which are increasingly required to harmonize perfectly. with their host environment â.
Inaugurated in December 2020 and continued with the official partnership at Slow Fish 2021 – The Water Cycles, the association between FPT Industrial and Slow Food continues to expand and become more complex, confirming the brand’s strong commitment to sustainable development. , with a global vision expressed in different macro-fields of action. First of all its products, increasingly respectful of the environment and at the heart of FPT Industrial solutions for the future of mobility, then its production processes, which must permanently reduce their environmental impact without losing efficiency, and finally, support for communities working to safeguard the ecosystem by adopting and maintaining fair and sustainable farming, fishing and processing methods.
“Our commitment to quality, sustainable agriculture, and viticulture in particular, is largely confirmed by our range of engines for agricultural applications, increasingly oriented towards alternative fuels with very low environmental impact” said Egle Panzella, Sustainability Manager at FPT Industrial. âBeing an Official Slow Wine Partner for the launch of Guide 2022 is a great honor, and gives us the opportunity to meet people and organizations who share our daily commitment to make sustainable development no longer the exception but the rule, which must shape everything. we do as people and as businesses.
