Lisbon: a city of colors

With the doors open to the Tagus we find Lisbon. A city full of history, it is in the capital of Portugal that we find not only the past but also the reality of today. Multiculturalism marks the host city of the 10th edition of Radiodays Europe.

The architecture remains since after Pombaline reconstruction. On Praça do Comercio, a magnificent sunset mixes the river and the urbanization. Across the hills we see the Moorish heritage, where diversity marks the alleys with scents, colors and magical people.

In the city center, there are all kinds of shops in Chiado: tradition and modernity coexist. Many products can be found there: from leather goods, lead crystal, porcelain, gold and silver filigrees, pottery, textiles and valuable books to vintage wines and canned fish. or even chocolate.

But there is more, the typical gastronomy is in every corner. From cod to tapas – with typical cheese and sausages – the delicious cuisine accompanied by comfortable spaces. Or even a cozy place to have a drink, in Bairro Alto, Santos, Cais de Sodré or Principe Real.

Belém, the municipality where the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL) is located, is surrounded by gardens. Near the Tower of Belém and the Hieronymites Monastery, unique heritage classified by UNESCO. Or contemporary art, at MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology), where we have a piece by Grada Kilomba (THE BOAT), or Cordoaria Nacional, the house of the RAPTURE exhibition , by Ai Weiwei.

With so many rich things to do, you won’t have time to be bored. The exceptional city is waiting here, with the door open for you.
