New book: Wines of Armenia

The long awaited book Wines of Armenia: A Complete Guide to Armenian Wineries and Winemaking by S. Margosian has finally been published. This is the first and most comprehensive guide to Armenian vineyards and winemaking, providing extensive details on Armenian grapes, wine regions and vineyards.

Wine has always been an integral part of Armenian culture and heritage, even before Christianity and in ancient times. Grapes and wine are at the heart of Armenia’s national identity. Recent discoveries have shown us that the world’s first wine production began 6,100 years ago in Areni Cave in Armenia. With such a fascinating history, deep traditions and a comprehensive heritage exist here in abundance. Yet the world has limited knowledge of this wealth.

This book aims to bridge this knowledge gap and share beauty and culture with the world. “If we do not embrace the Armenian history of wine and winemaking, we cannot fully understand and assess wines in general,” said Margosian, “there will always be a part missing, and this book aims to fill that point. gap.

The book is intended for a wide audience, including, but not limited to history, travel and wine enthusiasts from around the world. The 150-page book has been published in English and is available in electronic, paperback and bound format at Amazon and in major bookstores in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
