After her triple triumph at the Brit Awards this week, Adele was in no doubt about her plans for the evening.
“I’m going straight back to my apartment,” she said. ‘So I go to McDonald’s. I could open a bottle of white wine.
It all sounds extremely down to earth and fits perfectly with the image of the Tottenham girl she is always keen to promote.
But it can be revealed that the singer, worth around £162million, has the most luxurious London apartment imaginable.
The flat in a new modern prime development in West London is extremely secure and extremely private and overlooks a park.
Worth around £9million, the three-bedroom apartment comes with the services of a 24-hour concierge team, who can presumably send as many McDonald’s meals as any of its millionaire residents might wish.

Relaxation: Spa treatment room
Adele’s new London base has a temperature-controlled wine store, underground parking, an ‘energy centre’ and landscaped gardens.
There’s also a spa with pool, sauna, gym, and treatment rooms. The Bodyism gym, where David Beckham trains, has an arrangement to send personal trainers.
This is where Adele holed up with her team this week after traveling from America for the Brit Awards on Tuesday.
She brought stylist Jamie Mizrahi, hairstylist Sami Knight and manicurist Michelle Humphrey.

Fun: Adele partied at Heaven nightclub last night
The group were with her on Thursday when she filmed Graham Norton’s BBC chat show, which aired last night.
Adele, 33, told Norton she hopes to have a baby with her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul.
She said she wanted to reschedule her canceled Las Vegas dates for this year to make room in her diary for a baby in 2023.
The singer said: “It’s absolutely 100% this year. It has to happen this year because I have plans for next year.
“Imagine if I have to cancel because I’m having a baby! »
She went on to say that she planned to “disappear” in terms of music after performing in Vegas. “You might see me from time to time and I won’t be completely hidden.
“It takes me a while to recharge my batteries and I would like to have more children – I just feel like I’ve caught up on my sleep since having my son,” she said.
Her son Angelo, by first husband Simon Konecki, is nine years old.
Her new beau Paul has three children from nurse Candace Jones, whom he never married.
Cozy: A reception room in one of the apartments in the block
When it was first revealed that he and Adele were dating, a friend told People magazine: “He’s a nice guy, but I’m not sure he’s the type to settle down. .”
Another said the pair were “not very serious” but “having a great time”.
But Adele’s camp paints the portrait of a couple madly in love.
A source said her romance with Paul was “stronger than ever” after his residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas was canceled at the last minute.
She proudly wears a huge emerald cut diamond ring and doesn’t bother to deny that they are engaged.
She told Norton, “If I was, would I tell anyone if I was or not?”
Adele’s former home in London was a mews house in Kensington where she and Mr Konecki spent time with their son Angelo when he was a baby.
In Los Angeles, Adele and Paul have separate Beverly Hills mansions a stone’s throw from each other.
And she just bought a house from Sylvester Stallone for £42m.
She’s in tears during a drinking session at a GAY party
Adele was spotted singing, laughing and even looking in tears on a drunken night out after filming Graham Norton’s show on Thursday.
At one point, the singer twirled around a pole during the GAY party at Heaven nightclub in London as she joined drag performer Cheryl Hole on stage.
This week, Adele found herself in a row over trans rights after appearing to criticize the new gender-neutral categories at the Brit Awards by expressing her pride in being a female artist.
But after judging a strip contest at the nightclub, she told the shocked topless winner in a speech strewn with four-letter words: ‘I’ve been having a lot of bullshit the last two days.’
‘You were great but…we like women, don’t we.
‘I can see you are beautiful, charming, confident with all these men around. We love being women. Jeremy Joseph, who runs the GAY event, said: ‘She had a blast and we all had a blast. After the two years that we lived, it was like a moment, it was very special.
“She arrived around 12.40pm with her group and left around 2.45am.”
