This country has just won the prize for the best wine in the world, three years in a row

An Argentinian winery has been selected as the best in the world for the third year in a row. The World’s Best Vineyards ranking chose the estate after evaluating the opinions of nearly 600 international experts.

The Zuccardi Valle de Uco winery, located in the province of Mendoza, topped the 2021 list. The list assesses the facilities of wineries around the world and the quality of their products, to choose the top 100 wine destinations in the world.

“We are very happy. It is an important recognition for us and also for the region, because it is an international grand jury which turns from year to year”, explains to AFP Miguel Zuccardi, one of the persons in charge. of the vineyard.

“This allows us to continue to place Mendoza, and the Uco Valley in particular, at the top of the world wine map,” he adds.

The ranking, established each year by nearly 600 global sommeliers, wine experts and luxury travel journalists, assesses the best places to taste and learn more about wine and grape cultivation, as well as the architecture of the cellars, their restaurants and hotels.

And with four other Latin Americans Top 10 wineries, the area is clearly the place to go if you’re looking to enjoy a world-class drink (or two).
