Bella Hadid is joining the ranks of sober celebrities and she’s refreshingly candid about her experiences with alcohol and why she decided to quit drinking.
For context, Bella’s journey to sobriety ties into her work with the soft drink brand Euphoric Kin. According to the company’s website, Kin “transforms the world’s oldest social ritual, drinking, into a thoughtful act of taking better care of ourselves” and is “a daily brain care ritual designed to help you connect to your center and find a better balance”.
In a new interview with In the style to promote Kin, Bella opened up about her relationship with alcohol – and her story makes it very clear why she wanted to be involved in the business. According to In the style, Bella first tried Kin in 2019 during a “low point” as she battled anxiety and exhaustion from her grueling work schedule and Lyme disease side effects. All that stress, along with brain scans and real talk from her doctor (who is also one of the company’s medical advisors), made it “much more difficult to pick up the glass.”
“I drank my fair share. I loved alcohol and it got to the point where I even started, you know, canceling parties where I felt like I couldn’t control myself. “Bella said of her. relationship with alcohol at the time.
Bella actually quit drinking six months ago and doesn’t seem to miss the booze at all, TBH.
“I don’t feel the need [to drink alcohol] because i know how badly it will affect me at 3am when i wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that thing i said five years ago when i graduated from high school “, she explained. “There’s just this endless effect of, basically, you know, the pain and the stress about those few drinks that didn’t really do much, you know? ”
